Regarding the lathe machine with longer center distance, my company independently designed transmission structure of backlash gearbox with double set of teeth . By two sets worm and worm wheel mechanism, that a worm( which is a gear in the form of a screw) meshes with a worm gear ( which is a smaller in appearance to a spur gear) to realize the movement of whole tool carriage. The two elements are also called the worm screw and worm wheel. This structure effectively replaces the transmission mechanism of traditional lead screw that avoid the droop phenonmenon if he screw is too long. This structure is not affected by the work-piece length and meet with the request of long-shaft turning lathe machine. 8.)
